A reminder that mirror love notes, and love notes, and love, don’t only come from partners or spouses or traditional significant others. Significant love can come from our family. From our friends. From our kids. From our neighbors. And most importantly for all of us, from ourselves.

“Well, it’s the universe’s way of being an asshole and/or beautiful.”

I have always found beauty in the burdened - old fences with paint peeling from standing through the unending changing of seasons, the way the floors in old houses sag from the weight of carrying the lives and the stories of those who have wandered on them, in a pair of hands that has fully lived life helping other, holding others, and being strong for others.

I was aimlessly scrolling through TikTok when I stopped on someone talking about how tonight’s new moon is prime time for manifestation, and to journal about what your dream life will look like a year from now.

“My people were together. And I forgot the rest.”

For the last fifteen weeks I have sat at this table every Sunday morning, with a cup of coffee, and have gifted myself 15 minutes to journal.
