Sunrises and sunsets. Peaks and valleys. Ebbs and flows.
The silver lining (for this introverted heart) of starting yet another new year in a pandemic is the gift of time and space to sit with myself, my thoughts, and my heart.
If Christmas feels like both joy and sadness, both a blessing and a burden, both a gift and an obligation, I see you.
How do you overcome a shattered heart? Even after you’ve mended it back together, sewing each rip, glueing each tear, making a mosaic out of all of the fragmented pieces, that final step in healing feels impossibly elusive. Will you ever trust someone to hold it again?
A reminder that mirror love notes, and love notes, and love, don’t only come from partners or spouses or traditional significant others. Significant love can come from our family. From our friends. From our kids. From our neighbors. And most importantly for all of us, from ourselves.
